    A nice thread that brings to mind a quite common related video archive.

    Would be interesting if any knowledge available on the circumstances or town, undoubtedly Italy.

    Such a tragic loss of ancient architect. Reminds me, when I was in Mostar, Bosnia I visited the destroyed Old Bridge spanning the Neretva River. Ironically in that condition was actually a rare opportunity of it's history to view in that state.

            very nice pictures ... thanks!

            but without some data or place reference is very diffcult to go back to the bridge because the 1st and 4th Fallsch. Div, they fought in Italy from from Cassino (and also under) to the Po river (and above) ...

              another "sterbebild"... here the date brings us very easily around "height 204" in Tavullia, norh of Pesaro, the place where the Canadians between 30 and 31 August 1944 broke the Gothic Line.........

                maps with height 204, August 31, 1944 (three Allied Army Corps, Anglo Indians, Canadians and Poles) attack the lines defended by 1st Fallschmirjager Div. (and the decimated IRegiments of the 71 and 278 ID)....

                    .... we had already posted behind this nice picture of a British Columbia Dragoons Sherman hit by this German Para around "point 204" between 30 and 31 august 1944... the second is a picture of another sherman and jeep Always of British Columbia Dragoons...
