    I am understanding, what I write to late here. But I have the FG42 test documents. The weapon was tested in order to be able to shoot during the descent by parachute. That is, there was a decision to be able to fire in the air. The rifle cartridge is very powerful, and a muzzle brake was being developed. There is a photo and video when the paratroopers boarded the plane with FG42.

      Hi Victor, sad to say but he will never reply to you. The guy has died some years ago due the accident during training jumps, something happened with his parachute ....
      Looking for FJR2 combat pics in Russia.
