          John,
          Thanks for the link. However, is Oberst Leibing a FJ officer or in a Feld Division? It just seems very difficult to find photos of FD troops wearing the Sumpftarn FD jacket.
          Is there any evidence of when Sumpftarn FD jackets were issued? Again, referring to the thought that if it was post Nov 43 then the Heer handled logistics & issue of uniforms & equipment.
          The search continues!

                  Great photo David! Looks like Italy. Especially like the that weapon (which defines just who the soldiers are!) and the camo on the vehicle!

                            It doesn't even look like a Luftwaffe cap, the cap band and visor are all wrong.

                                I agree.

                                In general I don´t think that in those late war years green piped hats for the LW Divisdions were introduced.
