Wilhelm Hartmann, born on october 1926! enlisted enrolled in March 1944 in Pio. Ers. Asb. Btl 33,
then form july 1944 in the Panzer-Pionier-Bataillon 93 of the 26 Pz.Div.

On July 12, 1944, he receive his Kar98; on that date, the 26th Divi. fights in southern Tuscany, around Grosseto

Wounded on September 13, 1944, one of day with most lermans lost days f on the Gothic line ...... from 00 am to 5 am of September 13, 1944, just under a thousand cannons fired incessantly to prepare the Aallied attack for the second battle Of Coriano, the resolutive one .. but it is a clear 31a: so a rifle bullet or Bren, or a Sherman Browning, then means after the bombing, and therefore almost certainly between 5 and 9 hours of the morning, exactly at Passano, the place of the 26 Panzer Division on Coriano line, against the Gurkha supported from the Queens Bays Sherman

Wilhelm is evacuated in Germany and will stay in the hospital until the end of the war. It is a serious injury (silver badge) , and an Ek 2 was givenlate for five months by the Lazarett Officier where he had been hospitalized...

I suppose your fondness for 26 and 29 Pz.Div. is mostly for their panzer IV (and then Panthers for the 26) .... I got one just these days (from a trade) with Panzerkampfabzeichen, and when I have a moment I'll add it here here
