Hi,
it would have been a nice gesture to inform me regarding this thread. I am the seller of this piece, I just informed the potential buyer (lay away) that the award doc is open for discussion.
If more pictures or other details of the award doc are needed, please send me a pm or post in this thread. I will answer immediately.
Regards,
Daniel

An observation. Kompanie führer was a temporary appointment or at least intendend as such, Kompanie chef being the permanent appointment title. A stamp like that is far from common and i think its highly unusual to see it used be two totally different units in this manner. How does it compare to other known examples?Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

One thing that does stand out to me for this document is the use of both FP Nr. stamp and unit stamps. The ones I have always seen in the past only had the FP Nr. stamp.
A quick search of the forum and a google search also appears to confirm that.

Hi guys,
the problem is, that these pieces are quite scarce, so finding a matching counterpart won´t be that easy. If officer XX did the award doc one day, it won´t mean that officer XY did it the same way five days later.
I would also say that the stamp of the fake Tiger Wehrpass and the stamp of the shield are not 100% identical (but of course I see some differences, I´m the owner... )
All I can say is, the doc is old, the smell is typical, the stains are as well and the wear pattern looks like it was indeed stuck in the Wehrpass/Soldbook bag.
Regards,
Daniel

please note again:
the "Oberleutnant" stamp (like all other) in the "Tiger" Wehrpass is unquestionable a 100% fake - and the "Oberleutnant" stamp on the Sardinienschild document is 100% EXACTLY the same ... (same size, used italics letter font, spaces between letters...) no doubts...
But of course - it can be only a coincidence...Last edited by kuratorium; 02-16-2014, 06:33 PM.

This is something I would rather not believe.
I will post some better shots of the stamp in question tomorrow. With the original in hand, I think there might be clear differences in the two stamps.
-the last "r" in Führer looks different
-the "=" has a different angle, on the Wehrpass it is almost parallel-horizontal while on the Sardinia doc it has a raise
-the dots after the "u." have different spaces
-the "o" of Komp. has a different shape and is smaller on the Sardinia doc
I don´t know if these variations can be explained through different ink or pressure but the stamps don´t look alike to me.

Hi Daniel, K is quite correct (imho). These originate from Gerrmany and are all high
end fakes. One thing i have see with yours is improvement w/ the FP stamp.
I had the WP K posted given to at the SOS a few years back to compare to another
TK Pz grp ,excellent forged signatures, other than what K has pointed out the key to
these are the stamps. These grp's can be found from most elite units.
W.Schneider's "Totenkopf Tigers" has another one these fake WP's shown.
I too wanted to "believe" but.............

Hi guys,
I showed this to a dealer a few days back, and he said absolutely orignal without a doubt. The source was also pretty good. I just can´t imagine why, when this is a high end fake, anybody would concentrate on these low end items. Wouldn´t it be smarter to fake something "bigger" to gain more profit?

Daniel

Firstly, as we know, everything is faked and much lower value items than this are routinely faked.
Secondly, it's far better to fake a lower value item than a big value one, it draws less attention.Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
