And I hope this is a better shot of his RK. (Not that I know my RK pics, but the ring doesn't look like a Rounder's.)

Good question. Dont know it, there is only 1 picture of Fenski wearing a KC but you cant see if its a Rounder of one of the other types.

The Rounder (and other items) belonged 1000% to Fenski, according to the story. No doubt about that....The dealer wont give me the name of the KC holder, so thats all i have got.

Fenski was captured in action so maybe he had to turn in his KC and had a double at home (in case). Its only guessing, sorry guys.

Its not technically anymore, but maybe interesting to know in the search for more background information about Rounders and espacially the former holders of it. Maybe the answer can be found in that region.

PS: if anyone needs pictures of the Rounder, please report to me and i will send them.

          George,

          Thats the pic i mean.

Youre right and its strange because the Rounder has a Ring stamped K&Q.

Don't just look at the ring. Look at the inner corners, the curvature of the arms and the form of the swastika.

But we will soon hear what that cross that is...

Awg guys, Murphy's law strikes again. Managed to drop the scope-camera adapter. Have to fix it on next weekend (or most likely buy a new one), to get pics for you to compare.

I checked couple of crosses (most of them EK1's) with 300x. BH.Mayer EK1 showed some similarities with the rounder paint pic posted by Tom on visual level. It wasn't exactly the same though.

One todays repro RK showed amazingly smooth surface paint. First I had difficulties even see anything, I thought that scope focus was way out, but it wasn't, it was smooth as a baby's butt. (this was not the same repro RK than previously presented on that 50x pic).

By the way, was the meybauer EK1 checked with SEM and scope?

Yes, the Meybauer EK1 was tested and the paint of the sample was not the same as the Rounder sample paint.

My post will soon be drowned in photos of 300x paint, long rows of numbers out of context, etc. Until then:

Yes, it's a Rounder. Cross sold is a rounder, cross attributed to Fenski, Fenski is wearing what arguably is indeed a rounder. It's just to argue against solid evidence and say each time that vets are liars, crosses are switched, all dealers except those to whom you pander lie, etc.

The swas looks pyramidal in the photo, the curvature of the arms looks like, the light on the rim and ring are obscured somewhat but allowing for the overshine from the cross edge it's right.

                  It's a Rounder.

Anyone has a pic of a Schnell Siegfried (Luftwaffe leutnant).
His documents and medals were once offered to me and it had a KC with round corners (could have been switched, could have been fake, could have been anything). But, maybe it's worth to check the wartime pic of this person.

Looks like a juncker, however as with most of these photos, the image is indistinct.

Here is "old paint" from the Godet imperial EK1. It looks just like the "old paint" on the other RKs.

So it's more like an "indistinct Juncker" or an "indistinct Rounder".

I think these are in the eyes of he beholder, as with enough squinting, one can argue that it is anything from a rounder, to a juncker to a 3/4 ring!

If there is a rounder out there on a period photo, it would have to be a pretty clear image. Otherwise it will be like the photo above- those that believe in the rounder will see a rounder and those that do not will see something else.

That's why I don't say anything about this picture....because I dont' know and/or couldn't prove what I would say. What I think is a completely different issue, however!

That would have been some grouping Larry.....!!

It wouldn't, however, have contained a Rounder.....
