If you guys really feel that fine paint is modern and fake- here are the 300x photos of a juncker 800, K&Q, S&L, juncker lazy 2, and the rounder. Note the larger pieces of material in the other RKs and the smooth uniform appearance of the rounder.

Meaningless.
Where is the evidence of "old and real" from that image? How do you know that is really rounder paint?

Thanks Tom for your pictures, it shows interesting comparision.
Rounder, in my opinion, can be anything between circa. 1940-1980. (Based on current evidence presented here). Like I said, it paint has a possibility to be old. Timeframe is so small here, so exact year of manufacture is impossible to determine. There is no way of telling if it is made in -45 or -50 or -60 or something else.
Maybe someone has the Souval made KC after -45. Can we check paint from Souval cross?
I will check also those my examples with 300x.
Wild guess coming next, close your eye, it's not going be even near of a scientific statementD
What if Juncker made new dies after the bombing? They made it in a haste, hence the 300x details of the rounder is not so nice than all the others?
Isn't it so that when your company/factory for example burns down, you try as soon as possible to continue the production to get the money flow in again.
/Wild guess ends

Hello guys,
I am following the discussion with much interest. Hereby my personal opinion about Rounders.
Espacially, as you will maybe know, because i could have purchased a cased Rounder (with Ring K&Q however). The cross was actually sold (auctionered) for Euro 4500,- by a german antique dealer. I failed unfortunately to buy it, because I couldnt involve in the auction at the time...I really feel bad about it.
However, i am personally convinced that Rounders are pre- war Knights Crosses. I have no provenance or technical date however.. I am not an expert....only interested in KC.
The KC which i refer to, was offered to the antique dealer by an KC holder, who still has his own KC with original "Verleihungsurkunde" (, uniform and so on) and still lives in Essen (age 82 years). This KC holder was a Comrad of U-Boot Kommandant Horst Arno Fenski. Fenski had given some items to him like his Dagger, RK, U -Boot Kriegsabzeichen and so on. This KC holder had recently an heart attack so he offered the KC of Fenski to the dealer because he didnt want his children to "trough it away" after his death....This is what was told to me by the antique dealer.
The KC holder doesnt want his name to be published in public but he had said that his own KC with "VerleihungsUrkunde" will be offered to the dealer, when he pass away.
So with that in mind, I believe in my heart and i am truelly convinced that the story the dealer told me about purchasing the Rounder from a former Comrad and KC holder, is real. I can not provinance that at all, but i am convinced...Maybe the time will tell us more.....
