A cast copy of Juncker why. Or should I look for something in particular.

You can also clearly see that it should be Juncker at the tips of Kakenkreuz that go close to the edge and Dind lighter round. the original, even to the edge but more pointed / sharp. If you verstehts what I mean!

I was curious how quickly anyone would see that. The better the cast the more difficult it is to see.

Trying to learn here: I see what appears to be dust/debris in the arms of the swastika... is that not dust/debris? I also see a tiny black spot in the field of the outer ring (4-5 o'clock) -- is that a shadow or a casting pit? Or am I completely missing other obvious casting clues?

Hi Scott,

I have yet written and extra set an arrow. This is a hole from bad casting. They are almost always to be found at one place. This comes from air residues.

Scott, that's why I posted this photo. It's so damn good. The casting hole of which you will always find some is there. On a less clear photo you could miss it.

Lesson from all of this is I for one will never say "good badge" without really good photos of all features. The features that used to distinguish one maker from another just aren't good enough. It isn't hard to tell but you can't do a 5,000 foot view anymore and declare OK.

The old fakes simply were not right in any respect. Casts are right on the obverse until you get down to the magnification and see the details. The lazy faker also used the same eagles rather than make four...

Now that it's clear that this SC is a cast what other proof does Martin need before he returns your money? It's totally unacceptable for him to say that HE thinks it's good. Whether it's 9 months or 9 years it makes no difference. You bought in good faith what you thought to be an original SC. It's now not and he should be forced to return your money.

This will happen more and more as fakes become better. Unless the Admin here impose a more stringent return policy on estand, say at least a mimimum of 12 months, then I will only buy now from dealers who offer a lifetime return. Even after all the bashing of Craig Gottlieb, he at least refunded my $4000 on a document set I bought from him after almost 2 years. No questions asked. More than I can say about some sellers here.

But this NOT the rule now. We all have to accept risk when we buy something. We aren't dealers. If you want to try to get the rules changed, then you should pursue that. But tarring and feathering another collector who simply wasn't the last one to hold a fake is not fair in my opinion. If that collector can collect from an upstream dealer and make good on it then that's another issue I think. If you sell something on eStand you bought from a dealer you should as the seller pass along your COA.
