    Hello Sepp

According to Scherzer, there were four Knights Crosses awarded on 9 November 1944, all to Luftwaffe personnel.

No knight´s cross awarded to a Heinzgünther Engeland... Fantasy grouping.

Thank you guys with the help! I also felt there was something wrong with that grouping...

A little something to add here: from a German Newsreel, Görings Grand Cross, PLM and other awards on a display case. Very interesting on my opinion.

Also reminded me of this photo, in 1939.

              Same case?

Is this last shot of G receiving the RK or GK? There appear to be no shots anywhere of his being awarded the GK and new Baton. He seems to be dressed here pretty much as he was (minus the sword) in the victory parade RC Balcony shots. This makes me wonder whether he's receiving the GK in the shot above.

Chen, thanks, I've not seen the 38 presentation of the original baton, and the larger case makes sense for the triple presentation set. Is the last shot from the day of the GK award itself? I've seen it many times before, but hadn't connected it with the actually award ceremony. Very interesting.

Yep, that was the baton ceremony for the GFMs, in 1940.

                            Also, Göring gets the GC!

I've always been amazed by the size of the Grand Cross...
