The photo is from Wim Govaerts' great book Nachtspook van Sint-Truiden, published in 2007. The family does still have the awards, with the "A" piece still being in its presentation case.

Awarded the Ritterkreuz: April 5th, 1945
I've read somewhere that Regeniter only found out he was awarded the RK in the 1960s and he was presented with a 57 RK. So I'm guessing that's not his wartime piece..Last edited by Sepp45; 09-22-2013, 02:26 PM.
