The EK2 is an extremely rare early B.H. Mayer. I know this core in early B.H. Mayers with their interwar frames and this is their standard ("L/18"), later, WWII-era frame.

You could clean up the core but don't touch the frames, they are stunning.

There are no markings on the ring or anywhere else.

Guys,

I took a very slightly damp Q-tip and dusted the two off.

They look not quite as dirty. The patina on the frame is untouched.

I have seen this core and frame on Mayer EK1s, and the frame also on Mayer EK2s. I'm not sure I've ever seen this core on another EK2, but I'm sure they exist.

in the last pic I have seen the typical flaw on the frame, yes a Mayer cross. nice ! nice ! nice !
