Hi Tery.
Frankly I don't have much hope for your cross. It wants to be a Schinkel, which is basically a 1914 EK1 but with a 1939 core. However, it does not match any of the known originals at all (there are only two types shaped like this cross).
But who knows? We are learning new things all the time.
The only way for us to determine if yours has even the potential to be a rare original of a type not yet seen, is with good photos of the frame. This will allow us to compare the details (beading pattern) with other EK frames. In other words, we need detail, which comes from good lighting, and size.
I say this only to be helpful. Take a look here. This is the kind (light, size) of photo that would be helpful:
You don't need to get closer with your camera -- just post good pictures, bigger.
Best of luck.
