And so does the inner curving af the date bar also.
I am a bit sceptic of this one. (Or maybe it is the other one that is wrong?)
It seems we need to compare a few more 1st Classs 1st Pattern spange to see if we missed something earlier on?

I really can't see that there would be two different dies, but that it just my opinion.

              Nice clasp Jim...!

I think the pebbling is the same, just different conditions of patina, different angle of light and not very clear pictures playing tricks on our eyes.

I still think the clasp is the same strike as my clasp.

There is a very distinctive pattern inside the "9" and it's visible on both dates.

Thanks guys for posting your spangens,
I agree also that my camera and photopraphy skills are possibly lacking, my camera is 5 years old. The spange looks very good and convincing in hand.
When I started this topic I knew little to nothing about these, but
have learned much from the past few days studying this style and appreciate
everyones help. I honestly think it is ok...imo
                  keep the comments coming
                  thank you

                    Hi Waffendude

If you have a macro setting on your camera (a tulip), could you please try to take some closeup pictures of the:
                    Datebar,
                    Swaz
                    Chest
                    Head
and then post these. That would be really awesome.

                    Thanks in advance.

                    /Flemming

                              George,
that is possibly one of my favorite spangen ever...
                              von Rundstedt's I presume?
                              regards

Here is a better pic of the (4) distinct "divets, bumps, pebbles"
inside of the last number "9"
same as Alikn and Georges spangen
