    Third Reich Produced Imperial EK2

    Hi

I just noticed this on a piece I just got. Does this appear to be TR produced? You always see the TR produced Imperial EK1s but Ive never ran into an EK2.

They were made until the end of the War and are in catalogs, I posted my BECO which is dated to most likely 1939-

      Hey John

Yes I know they produced them, I always just find the L/11 EK1s, never the EK2s,I think this is one.

Nice cross Dion ... It looks to be a Juncker , believed to have been manufactured between 1939-1945 .

Thank You Simon, I did notice it had a checkered texture and also the frame hump. Lucky one . Interesting thread.

                Exellent cross!

This is not a 'Juncker Schinkel' but it shares the same frames as one.

Some "Imperial buffs" don't think the '1914 AWS/Juncker Wideframe' are TR made, lots of interesting threads about them in the Imperial section, all written by Trevor (Streptile)

                this one is the best

And here's the Enamelled Core 1914 (not onyx) belonging to Kay (Montgomery Burns), again the same frames.

Hi Johnny, the crosses in your catalogue does not match the '1914 AWS/Juncker Wideframe' but they are drawings. Are there other catalogs that shows these crosses? A couple of makers made 1914 crosses in WWII, none of them even comes close to the quality of the 1914 AWS/Juncker.

Juncker made 1914 crosses in WWII (L/12 marked) but they do not match the thread starter. Here's another thread where the maker of these crosses was discussed.

                        I better clarify.

The nice cross that started this thread is the so called '1914 AWS/Juncker Wideframe' and believed by some Imperial collectors including me to been made in the Imperial era by either AWS or Juncker (i lean against AWS).

Juncker got a L/12 marked 1914 that is made in WWII but it does not match the thread starter.

The so called 'Juncker Schinkel' is a cross with the same frames as the AWS/Juncker wideframe but with a 1939 core.

I guess I did not understand what you were asking, my post was only to show they were being manufactured during the TR period and not that it was that specific cross, the images in the catalog are both drawings and retouched photos.
