        We will come ...

        Jacques,

Sorry I have not sent you the photos you need. I promised them to Francois some weeks ago. I have cased Spanish Crosses with Swords in Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The Gold is a 900 marked piece and the others are L/11's as I recall. All in beautiful condition and from the George Petersen collection originally.

Thanks for your patience and back in contact with you soon. I also owe Francois a bunch of photos of Luftwaffe badge cases, too. My digital camera is going to burn up!

As a teaser, I have attached a photo below of my Spanish Cross in Silver. It is marked L/11 and is in the green LDO box. Sorry for the poor quality --- better ones to come.

        Best regards,

        Mike Heuer

Jacques, if you still need a bronze “4” marked, I’ll take some better scans and send them to you next week.

                            Has the interrest wained?

It seems strange to me after all the controversy over the Spanish Cross without Swords in silver by Meybauer that the interest has somewhat waned. I continued forward to gather evidence that this firm used the same die for the swords and the one without swords. Now that I have found another example in bronze no interest has been forthcoming. Did the article on the Spanish Cross fizzle out or just silent work is going on behind the scenes?
