        The dots

        My reply notification did not work , so I did not see any replies .
        I see them now . The dots are beside each other at the corner - but on the bead step itself - and not where I marked them . Hard to see these things on pictures at times . If they are raised then these round marks were intentionally put into the die . An irreversable alteration to the die for a distinct purpose possibly to separate new production from old .
        Hand stamped dot markings- surface recessed -exist in various forms occasionally found on EKs that are mostly inspection marks .
