That's a real beauty Robert,

you can really see and feel the high quality finishes when compared to the lower quality later examples. You say it makes no difference when worn, but I can imagine my badge being a real pain in the a**e because it doesn't clip into the catch very well. Or maybe that just came with age and wear? Who will ever know?

Here's another maker's (Deumer) KVKI, zinc. They still untilized the high-quality pin, but the times phohibited the use of the usual tombak and nickel silver plating. Quite a contrast...
