A very nice Mayer combo! I'll take that one, Bob! I'm looking for just one, and you have this beautiful set of three.

Thank you for posting these photos. They'll all go into my files for reference materials. Somewthing to drool over as I search further.

But it took me 45 years to get them! I am still looking for the L/16 combo.

Rob, here is mine if it helps (positive or negative). It is almost identical to the L/11 Jon posted that was vet aquired from Bob(?). The eagle is identical to it. Pin is close to. Cheers...Jeff

You guys are really something, and so are these pieces. It's really nice to see so many combos come from all of you. Thank you! This has given good examples to choose from... So who wants to sell?

I can't help but note that you have all passed up this combo I started the thread with. There must be a good reason. I take it no one likes it. Well, I'm going to pass on it too just because it sits unsold still. Bob, your L/18 is quite the cased piece! I would hate to guess what that gem would cost on the market today, cased as it is and in such fine condition! What a beautiful piece!

I actually like the one you are looking at Robert. I love the period safety catch. I have seen that on a period pilot/observer. My feeling is if they are going to hump this up, there is not going to be a safety catch on it. Just my gut feeling...Cheers...Jeff

                                Thanks Jeff,

I'm still looking at it. If I'm not careful it will be gone by the time I decide to do something about it. I don't know. I know very few of these pieces were marked, and I should feel comfortable with it, but for some reason I feel checked about it.

                                Thanks though..
