The craftmanship of setting the over 100 stones is absolutely amazing. Some of them are very, very tiny!

Amazing workmanship - the backplate of the cross looks cast - is it?

                ...very nice cross.
The lower the number of stones set in these crosses, the higher the actual value of today!
                Pieter.

...pitty they do not have the case to it....it gives so much more flair to these pieces.

Since I had the opportunity to study all three pieces I could work on the common spots and the differences. It is clear that no piece is like the other in a lot of respects: number of diamonds, weight, date, marking.

Every piece is a unique one!

Yes Pieter, you are right with the missing cases - it is a shame. However, I was very astonished to see how well in shape they are w/o the missing cases! All three were 'fixed' to a cardboard display and I was lucky that the curator allowed me to take them off.

What do you exactly mean by "less stones - more value"???

The count for the diamonds is:

                        6570 : 118 pieces
                        6571 : 90 pieces
                        6572 : 97 pieces

... give or take a few. It's tough to count. I think what Pieter meant is less stones = bigger stones = higher value.
