Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I think that the private finances of a member here, i.e. where and how he got the money to pay for something from or how much he paid for something is none of our business. It just leads to false assumptions, rumors or whatever.

Remember that none of the KC's I have are at home!!! They are all in a safedeposit box at the bank!!! Sadly but necessary!!!

I used to have a good number of rare comic books and sport cards in a safe at the bank ,after 10 years I sold everything .It just did not make sense any more.
I can not miss them at all,because they have been out of my life for so long.
Unless those things are seen only as an investment,they should be enjoyed.....
This is the way I feel now .

Thanks Dietrich for the statement made!!! I think this is the reason why many collectors who collect high priced items only read the forum and don't post a lot of their latest purchases!!! I only post pics to get opinions and to learn from the members who have much more experience!!!!
I only started this thread just to show an old picture of how I became a collector and my particular interest in the KC!!! I hope you understand and share my opinion!!!

Sure, there's a lot of place for humor! And there should be! That's why we have the Kneipe and the A-Forum.
Not that you cannot make a joke here, surely you can! But what you or others consider a joke might not always come across as such. And the remark from Kevin and Ludwig (and PM's) tell me that I wasn't too far of base with my remark.

Hi, I don't believe it was near a lake!!! The military graveyard was not that far from a military base!!! I will ask Werner Palinckx as he might remember where it was exactly!!! BTW I believe Remy Schrijnen is still alive and well living in Germany!!!
