Dietrich, I rely on this Forum.....

I'd need 2 computers and stacks of CD's and then I'd have to file, sort etc etc!!

I have enough in my noggin now...I don't need any more surplus.

    Here's Harry's '935'...

No, you don't. One external Hard drive for $ 200,- and a little discipline. The above picture I posted came from you ...

        I'll start saving right away!

I don't recall sending you that pic but no matter....

Roy was involved in the discussion and he too picked up on the odd font. Maybe he saved some images.

Relative to this overall discussion....note how soft, undefined and shallow the dents are

Not on this one, a 935. Fairly well defined.

Yes, but does it have the 'odd' font? Surely, a 935 could have escaped the '4' as they were two different stamps

              Pics of the stamp?

Same font IMHO. Bottom is a 935-4

So, a '935' -considered 'post war' - has the same fairly pristine dent row than a pre-45 935-4, the same B-type frame, the same core, the same 935 font (i.e. stamp) BUT the "4" is missing! Deliberate to cover the tracks? Surely a cross intended for the PKZ would have a "4" (or 20 or 2 or 65 or 7 ) as a marking. I would think so.

The "missing 4" is for sure not an oversight!

See! Now I don't have to safe the $200

Just because I simply don't have the 'know how', Dietrich will you post the 'font' side by side and if possible an early vs. late dent row?
                          Regards,
                          Dave

Dietrich, maybe it's the smoke from the fires but I just don't follow....I haven't seen a '935' with a pristine set of dimples, at least a 935 matching the war time font!
