It does not seem to be an S&L, judging by the poor pictures.
I honestly have no idea right now but I personally think that the L/21 on a detachable loop might not be the final proof for a Foerster and Barth Ritterkreuz...
I agree with Dietrich, this is NOT a Steinhauer cross. I don't know about the cross posted, but the mark on the detachable ring is used for the L/52 Zimmerman and the 21 Godet.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.
....Granted, and rather unlike my general character and purest attitude I like the Cross!!!!
I like it because I (we) haven't seen another one...nor has 3, 7 or even 40 appeared at one time. The patina is great and the core is sharp. My 'GUT' says wow, it could be, and that's why I said previously....interesting!!
Not to chance the subject, but the non-appearance of 3,7 or even 40 and some nice patina and a sharp core cannot constitute genuity, IMHO.
Without the loop and without the source this would (could, might) very well immidiately dismissed as a fake - by strict comparison to known examples.
But that's not to say this might not be the real deal, not at all! How would I know? To what would I compare?
