    You are absolutely correct. I just realized that many “badge” persons don’t read “crosses” section at all! Anyway, let me quote Frank Heukemes here:

                              All these badges share the same “pin and catch” setup which we believe is made by S&L. What is interesting here as Frank said: “there is no evidence that they made pilot's badges, P/O badges, Flak badges, and glider badges pre 1945”...!<o =""></o>

                                4/800 S&amp;L with provenance

                                Since I understand we are looking for a RKs with provenance, I believe the one on page 314 of Gordons book is attributed to Rolf Stiegart awarded in January 1945. If one looks very close with a loop I think you can make out the incuse 4 and incuse 800 as well as the lower 3 oclock dents on the arm. I was wondering if someone who knew Gordon Williamson well might prevail on him to see if the origional picture was any clearer............Jimmy
