I am aware of that fake. The one I posted is different than the fake in the referenced thread ( to my eyes). It looks like they cleaned up the central beading but forgot about the corners.Originally posted by Erickn View Post

I'd almost have the Oaks checked in the 57er forum as they look postwar S&L, but may be fake too. Worth more than the cross if they're okay.Comment

I think that this is one that needs to be brought out periodically, as it looks very, very good. If the corners were "worn", I don't think you could tell the difference until you looked under a loupe.Comment

I know that. I am selling them on the bizarre for $500 as fakes. There is no attempt to deceive anyone and they are identified as fakes. It's just $500, so I really don't care much one way or another if someone buys them. They are just good filler/display items.Originally posted by Franco View Post
