2 marked Juncker Knights Cross opinions.

    Hi guys,

It's been a few years since I've posted on here and so I hope there's still some that remember me :-)

I'm trying to help out a complete stranger with his RK and would like the memberships opinion on this piece.

I know the photos are not the greatest but it's the best he can do, hopefully there's enough detail to make a judgement.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Dave

    Not a Juncker

I only see one cross and it appears to be a 800 4 marked S&L. Better photos needed though.

No it's 2 800. If you zoom in you can see it's a Juncker and the cross hatching is visible.
I'm not sure if any better photos are going to be forthcoming.

It's a very nice copy I'm sorry- these have been around for a few years- desireable as fillers

I know these photos are bad but it's the best we've got.

In the first photo you can see the 2 and while the 800 looks incuse it actually isn't. You can see it isn't incuse in the second photo.

Any photos about of these Juncker copies? I couldn't find any. I'd like to compare a copy to this one if possible.

                Hi Dave,
IMO the so called Juncker Super Fake. A very nicely produced piece made to deceive. Here are a few images several others posted I saved for my files. Not always found marked for Juncker but a want to be 20 also. Hope they don't mind the use of their images and it helps.
                Regards
                E.

                  Fantastic pics, thank you!

I can indeed see the Cross I posted is definitely one of the Juncker Super Fakes, what a shame. I'd heard about these Crosses but had never actually seen one.
I'll pass the bad news on to the owner.

                  Thanks all!

Dietrich wrote a article about this type of fake in the INTERNATIONAL MEDAL COLLECTOR magazine in 2012. All the information and details about these fakes are in volume 3 number 1.

                      Awful!
I wonder who sold that cross?

                      Kind regards Chay

No idea, it belonged to the owners deceased father and they found it in his effects.

Most likely one of those really not honest English dealers,
                              Disgusting
