            A good find: a rare postwar photo of diamonds holder General der Panzertruppe Dietrich von Saucken, wearing his KC (not clear if wartime or 57er) in 1963.

            Dietrich von Saucken was the last officer to receive the diamonds during the war.

                    I have spent some Hours now bach from Page 177 to 57.... What a great job from you Guys, in first Line of course my Freind Sepp !! How many Hours of Researches... just awesome. It is more than a Thread, now, it is pure german History...

                    My Contribution, extract from his Grouping, a WW2 Portrait and one as a Captain of the BW. He retired 1974 as a Lt-Col.

                    He became the DKG 1944 as a Lt, Stug.Brig.393. We met several time,he was a great and lovely Person. His Wife Waltraud is still alive, as an incredible Life, and his in all Aspect of he Life forme a real Example. Especially for you Tom now, one of the few 57er I keep in the Collection, well it is not exacty the Thread-subject, because I have none photo of the Vet wearing it, but well, it is a present from Albrecht Schimpf to me, Years ago.
