In fact, the credit goes entirely to the person who took the photo and posted it on a forum.

I don't know his name, but if he see it here by any chance, the merit goes entire to who corresponds.

Yes Nigel, until this photo showed up in G. Williamson's book on the Kvk, I had never seen one....and so far this is the only one I have seen. Perhaps Gordon could get you a copy ? By the way I have been looking for YEARS !!!!!!! Tom

Anyone know anything of the history behind the man??
Very unusual for an Oberfeldwebel to win the RK to the KVK, anyone know the details???

IMO, the 57er KVK series design is really lacking with that blank space in the center. I'm surprised a small oakleaf design wasn't substituted for the swaz like on the EK.

Does anyone know why he was awarded the KVK RK, unless I missed it, I didn't see the reason why he received this award, as I said before, very rare for what appears to be a frontline soldier??

He wears the EK 1 & 2 so for sure he was a combat soldier. He was probably later responsible for the maintenance of the PZ Div. fighting vehicles and in keeping them "UP" & running at a high level he would have been eligible for such an award as the RK KvK. Just a good guess on my part. Tom

                                Thanks Tom!!
Sounds very plausible!! Most photo's of guys wearing KVK RK's I've seen, were civilians!!
Even without the RK, it still not every day you see someone with both EK's and both KVK's!!!
