Hi Tom! I found that strange picture on a Russian website. The only caption the photo had, on the original name, was Klein

I searched for it on the list, but there are 10 RKTs with that last name.

Thanks for any kind of help

Sepp...If you look VERY close, just to the right of his DKiG is a Spainish Medal given for service in the Civil war. This award would not have been worn after the war. Also the DK looks to be a possible Swas issue. It's so hard to be sure as the quality is not the best. I also checked the name Klein, but none of the bunch seem to match as our guy. I'll keep searching. Tom

Wooow, great eye Tom! You are right, it's the Spanish Cross (in gold?). So, we now can say that it's a wartime photo, with a Ritterkreuzträger who also won the DKiG, the SC and that EKII on his Medal Bar.. is from WWI? He seems kind of old to be a "fighter pilot" or any kind of pilot in the luftwaffe. A Commanding officer, maybe?

                            Thank again

Yes Sepp I think this is a wartime photo. The Spainish Medal I believe is actually a Spainish Medal given to Germans for service in the civil war. You are also correct about his age...too old to be anything other than a commander of some sort. I can't think of the name of that Spainish medal, but many Germans were awarded them by the Franco Gov. Werner Molders was one.

I just googled it...it's called the Spainish Civil War Cross and awarded to some Condor Legion members.
