Well spotted Mathijs!! Like you said its another DK thats been artificially aged, but this time, they've got some half decent hardware on it, and learnt not to put a phoney makers mark on!!
These fakes are slowly getting better, give them a bit more time, and they'll be quite convincing.... unfortunately!!
We need threads like this to keep one step ahead of the fakersclap.gif

If I may add yet another one ... I've seen them marked with L/21 and L/21 but this is the 1st one I've came across marked with 21 for Godet .

Notice the lack of finish, painted ring beneath the wreath, etc.

To add a funny remark ... this is being offered as an extreme rare piece and even as German Cross in Silver .

I'm looking for a REALLY Good reprodution of this WW2 one BUT don't want to spend a fortune on it.
I had one I picked up some 20 years ago that was very nice all the way (could pass as real) around including some good Heft to it but lost it to a fire. The ones i see now are total crap and cheaply made (sent several back).. Anyone know were I can still get a nicely made one.
          Thanks
          Joe

PS as to not crowding the thread Please PM me with any help

              True enough. Too bad.
It's interesting how determinedly the 1957 awards are being faked now, considering the substantial cost of manufacturing a fake.
              Best regards,
