As I had mentioned, the US veteran, who contracted to have this collection produced, was a veterinary officer, serving in early post-war occupied Austria/Germany.

Myself, having a fondness for uniforms, I would like to start ‘the December finale’ with the vet’s jacket.

Fredswiss, your cap patches are German made. Note that the bullion borders have been painted on both. Only German made patches reflect painted bullion, and there are a few.

Thank you very much for identifying them as being German made. I was unaware that only the Germans used painted bullion. However, your phrase "and there are a few" confused me a bit. Would you please clarify that for me. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge. It is much appreciated.
