The damage around both seams where the shoulder straps attach appears odd. Is there more damage to the tunic? Otherwise it looks nice.

Tunic is probably somewhat restored - top front button does not match the others, the one Sergeanten button does not match the other. Possible restoration at the shoulder boards? Nevertheless a nice tunic.

Looks like the shoulder straps may be hand tacked into seems. May be replacements or maybe we're loose. The NCO buttons are an obvious mismatch but not sure if that could be wartime or post ward if one was lost.
It almost looks like cuts or little tears to the sleeves at the seems near the straps but can't tell.
I think it's a real wartime period Senior NCO tunic for sure and the litzen looks original.

Post war more likely. Top button and Sergeanten replacement buttons are earlier ones - easier to find these days than the later, war-time ones. But IMO not a big thing - a bit of restoration on a 100 year old tunic is something I personally do not mind and prefer over a tunic with missing buttons.

As for the straps, I would not be surprised if these were attached at the top of the sleeve just over the seam and folded really tight backwards - if so I expect the original straps to have been removed at one time and the current ones restored to the tunic. But even if this were the case, I would still get the tunic if it had a decent price.
