        Hi Valery,

this is not an officer jacket but one for a Sergeant of the SAXON army.

the jacket looks good but I would like to see more and better pics to be sure it is all original.

Value of an original would be anywhere from 1500 (auction/private sale) - 2500 (Weitze).

        Cheers, W.I.R.

By the way: here is the pre-war version of your jacket possibly of the same regiment.

I agree with the price valuation range that was given.

This is a private purchase NCO tunic, so in this case made to an officer's quality tunic and this one shows some features that are not that common on EM/NCO private purchase tunics. If this was an issue tunic from this regiment in this condition the value would easily be $1000 more in both the high and low range, IMO.

The Saxon cut is unique and not easy to find, so that fact might push this one to the higher end of the range to the right buyer.

The rank on the gray tunic is that of a Feldwebel, not a Sergeant. Notice the two bands of Tresse on the sleeve. I also disagree with the price evaluations, which are too low. Any non-officer Waffenrock of a pre-Bluse pattern is worth a minimum of 2,500 Euro, especially in this condition IMHO.

.... min. 2500 Euro for an issue piece Yes - a private piece is much cheaper

From what I can discern with the images we have, I conclude that: 1. it is a private purchase tunic from the lining material and construction, 2. almost certainly authentic and in superior condition from the material and appointments, and 3. a Saxon Regiment from the low 100's (10X?) strap, cuff configuration and NCO button (feldwebel). As such, its market value is 2,000 to 2,500. For an issue piece add 1,000.

Of course, all subject to revision pending better images.
