Pickelhaube Off. Inf. Wurtemberg

Next to the Prussian ones, Württemberg pickelhaubes are probably my second favorite. Excellent example!
Interestingly, there is only one "Münst" in the Rangliste for 1898 (just a random date I decided to check.) He was Leutnant in Infanterie-Regiment (10. Württ) Nr. 180.
I'm not saying this is his Pickelhaube, but it is an interesting lead, especially since he was in a Württemberger regiment.Last edited by MauserKar98k; 11-15-2010, 10:28 PM.

As I said, in 1898, there was only one Münst in the entire German Army and he just happened to be a Leutnant in a Württemberg regiment.

There was a Major Franz Münst in IR.180. He was killed in action on July 5, 1915 at Achiet le Grand.
There was also a Leutnant Wilhelm Münst in the same regiment.
These are the only two with that name in the postwar Ehren=Rangliste. So your helmet had to belong to one or the other. Lucky the name wasn't Müller!
