Streptill's claim is very interesting about the fake EK1. I'm going to study it. But the frames are not identical, they are only similar. Everything else is just speculation.

Here's the frame type I was talking about. Notice the much softer inner edges of the frame (compared to an authentic S&L type frame).

until someone matches the frame to a WW1 or WW2 maker by photo comparing ,
people can tell you want they will but ,,you keep on fooling yourself .
odd crosses,,,, crosses not only the missing relation with imperial but most of all,,,,,,,,,,,,,
every WW2 frame in odd combinations is suspicious right from the start .
(WW2 collectors can sing a lot of story's about that,you can ask them )
to your pictures,,, i think your cross was taken apart ,,better and closer closeups of the upper frame soldering are needed to be sure of that .
