Interesting WWII-era EK2 with an early-type WWI-era core. Not the first I've seen but they're not exactly common.
      Best regards,

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

Thank you Trevor! What do you think about origin of this cross?

            Hi Kirill,

What do you mean by "origin"? The maker? If so, I'm not sure.
            Best regards,

that is an early core in a WW2 frame

A WW2 frame that could not be identified and matched by the WW2 specialists .

in such circumstances and in the light of recant developments and newest revelations
                http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=784107

the word Frankenstein in combination with fake frame comes to mind ...

until someone matches the frame to a WW1 or WW2 maker by photo comparing ,
people can tell you want they will but ,,you keep on fooling yourself .

odd crosses,,,, crosses not only the missing relation with imperial but most of all,,,,,,,,,,,,,
every WW2 frame in odd combinations is suspicious right from the start .
(WW2 collectors can sing a lot of story's about that, you can ask them )

to your pictures,,, i think your cross was taken apart ,,better and closer closeups of the upper frame soldering are needed to be sure of that .

                regards kay

Wow Kirill ... what a turn of events here .
I have a strange EK2 in a different way also . Don't think it is a Frankenstein , as the frame is know .
Bizarre any way as the core just about falls out of the frame ... posted back in 2012 .

The frame almost 44x44 with a core far to small that slides around and you can see through it inside the frame .
