And finally for today, an Erkennungsmarke. It's hard to scan well enough to see it clearly, but if you stare long enough.....

Nifty little things aren't they? Now I have something else to look for.

            an update on Juncker badges

I've been doing comparisions of Juncker marks and pins. Here is a mark from 1908 next to one from the war. Other than the wartime mark being stamped in farther/harder than the earlier one, they are the same. The early mark is to the right. It comes off a Schiespreiss from 1908.

Note the pins on the reverse of the Schiespreiss. They are made the same as the pins on the Juncker MGSSA from the war almost 10 years later. Another point to look for when trying to find an original.

Not really a postcard with the MGSSA motif, but theme related. I prefer skulls...

PS: One of the last cards 1918!

"Bete und arbete" means pray and work!

May I present Carl Leburg, quite a hard maker to find.

I doubt he was making these after NOV 11, 1918.

Well apparently YOU found one and one in PRISTINE condition. What a beauty.

                                Hello,

I know these are heavily faked, but does this stand a chance perhaps?

                                Regards,
                                David
