That is all for the tunics... again, this is bout 80% with the remainder being without shoulder boards...
The bulk of my DDR collection is in insignia(waffenfarbed collar tabs...including a few paratrooper EM and Officer Litzen(not the common ones...). Maybe next week, I can pull out those boxes and photo the medals and insignia... might take a bit longer than the tunics though...
Anyway... thank you for viewing my collection... I am open to any and all comments...

Hey Paul...Thanks for sharing your DDR tunic collection with the forum. I would be interested in seeing more photos of your paratrooper tunics.
Also, I have a general question to the forum members about the white collar tabs. When did most of the DDR organizations go to the white collar tabs???

The Stasi (with the exception of the Wach Rgt. Dzierzynski) switched over to white collar tabs after 1977, so I assume the other branches also did so around that year.Comment

Very nice uniforms Paul Medic, but I have a question: where do you keep your normal clothes? Even imagining a BIG wardrobe... your collection would take it all...
I am already at the stage of refraining from buying a new tunic because the wardrobe is already bulging as it is, and to close it, straps and locks have to be called in to help...
Ah well I am very envious, I must say! But thanks for sharing so generously.

I have a two bedroom apartment... The second bedroom holds my WW2 era stuff. All of the DDR items fit well into that closet...albeit, a very tight fit! LOL
