Well, here's my completed Grenztruppen uniform. Going to wear it to the annual milsim/cosplay event this weekend.
This is with the overseas cap. I think this is the right thing to wear for a Grenzer at the Wall.
This is with a visor hat. I believe I can wear this for checkpoints?
Oh, and here is a tag that is sown onto the trousers.
I don't understand what it is though, all I recognize is the size of the trousers. I assume I should remove the thread that connects it to the pants to remove it from the trousers.
What do you guys think?

I have these tags on uniforms that have check marks and initals that were done by workers as the item goes through the manufacturing process. It looks like yours has punch marks instead of initals. Some also have inspectors stamps for final approval. It also allowed you to see the size of the items without opening up the garmet and some will also have the date codes on them.

The Grenzer serving in the Staatskapital (80's on) would be issued the gaberdine material uniform, and required to wear the shirt and tie with Schirmütze as such:
vice the standard Dienstuniform as seen worn here:
Hope to see some photos from the event Johelmet!
