these are the platforms, whe are suppose to be protecting
unfortnatly the MAZ as you all know, is larger than a MACK semi trailer, and even those are not allowed on Dutch roads unless under specialised transport authority's supervision, alot of fuss, and loads of cash.

ps:@iannima, you didnt tell me why you where so fund of the gaz69

the MZ would be mine and of course my wartburg

oh and we have a UAZ in the pipeline, dear so much work so little time.

just for the fun of it, idd like to post the list of vehicles we have so far.

        -Trabant Kubel
-2 Gaz 69(on troop carrier, 1 radio and we had a third in mint condition all it needed was a new top and paintscheme, but it got knicked)
        -2 barkas vans(1 technical support, 1 streifendienst
        -Gaz 66 with staff lak
-Ural technical support(we had to change the more pretty soft top with a Lak2 container bacause with soft top container it measured 2,52 mtr)
-zil fully equipped radio truck.(this one was actually misused state property, in it was the tool of a east to west escape)
-Robur Lo1800(actually a 2000 but shh or the goverment might here yeah)
-LuaZ staff car transformed to a medical support vehicle

Man if I had known this would had happened, I would has kept my year in Bali off a bit.
But if you manage to change to Mot.Shutzen (since I don't have any VM) and get any time
to set something like this up around April, let me know.

I thought the MZ and Wartburg were yours are you the guy who is nuts then?
Jokes aside, a fine collection of progressive, purely defensive equipment! I am distressed to hear of the theft of the Gaz 69 . I would have thought not many people would want such vehicles, and not many thieves would be able to start them... I don't know how you manage to keep all these vehicles on the road though, as I have my hands pretty full with just one and the Land Rover. When is your group going to come to Beltring? See these threads:

I am looking again at your photographs and I realise that I forgot to ask: which one are you? Or are you the one taking the pictures who therefore never appears?
              A fine effort Genosse!

                Hi Genossen,

Does dressing up as Fliegerkosmonaut Sigmund Jähn qualify as reenactment?

oh see i got alot of answering to do.

@iannima: well the guy buys them since he has the connections and the quick cash, and then he makes others crazy so we buy them from him, thats how i ended up with the MZ all the wile i am still working on my licence
and the wartburg is "mine" since i am the designated first aid man for the wachzug.

                  see the pichttp://picasaweb.google.nl/100917315...76810928953730

and well the GAz 69 is quit easy to start even without the key so our suspecion has to go to eastern eurepean worker (polish thech) which must have had the thing in there army's

                  @iannima
no we will not be attending beltring, to large scale

                  @Knuckles930
with april i suspected your meaning Beltring
and in the case for the VM:change the kepi, the shoulderboards and the white-blue undershirt(where using russians instead of the original Vm ones:rare and expensive) so to change from LasK to VM would in all set you back maybe 20 euro, 50 if you have a large head

where only a summer group, all the old lads dispise winter so you wont have to by a VM Ulschanka and fur collar(tiny hats would ba around 40 , larger like mine is 80, thats 50 for the darn hat, but i am in love with it

Once you go Volksmarine you never want to go back. Nice impression!

Not per see Beltring. Somewhere around the coast of Zeeland would be fine
also. It's just that with work I'm abroad most of the time. This time at least
                      until begin April.

As for the VM change, that should be no problem than. I'm sure militaria4you
can help me out on that one.

Very smart! Though Sigmund probably didn't have access to such good hair gel!

Good day to one and all,
As Matteo has noticed, I am very busy and I am only sporadically
able to surf the internet. I have been visiting these forums every once in a while
and today I have some spare time, hence my post.

First of all, it is nice to see that there are so many enthousiastic DDR collectors and re-enactors. I've seen many good photo's and read good stories.

I have been collecting DDR items, mostly army related, for about 11 years now.
7 years ago some Dutch enthousiastic collectors got together, and decided to form the first Dutch DDR re-enacment group. It was to be a very serious group,
living and training by the handbook. After a while of hard training we were invited to come train with NVA soldiers in the former DDR.
We had a strict group and were praised by NVA veterans and the public.
But later on disaster struck, members got ill, members went on to be active in politics and the group fell apart.

We used to re-enact Mot.Schutzen in our solo-displays, and Grenztruppen in displays where we would have a 'hostile' re-enacment group at the other side of the border.
As soon as I have my own pc back I will be sure to post some pictures of the whole group.

I hope to take part in the conversations here,
and that I will be able to contribute something useful.

                              Mit besten Grüssen,
                              A. Dschughaschwili, Uffz a.D.

                                Genosse A. Dzjoegasjvil,
It is a pity when a Group implodes due to reasons outside the permitted operating Norms laid down by Moscow Centre.

That is why robust "Internal Matters" Directorates are a very corner stone to Progressive re-enactment....

... your correct use of this formula has received many admiring glances from Moscow Centre....
