    Flugzeugfuhrer,

I've purchased some of Kirk's CD books as well and they are good value. I still find it best to have the hard copy in my hands though. Just my personal preference. Some I have actually printed up that has proved to be very effective for me.

    Regards,

    Gordon

      Books on CD

      Gordon,

I to have printed a few. I find them easier to use in book form. Grant it I also would prefer the original books. Though the CD's are so much cheaper.

Not sure if this is right place to post this but here goes. Is the first book (without dust-jacket) the same edition as the second book (with dust-jacket)?

Sorry for the toy soldiers on top, but the batteries in my camera are dead and this was a picture that I already had uploaded.

I ask because I don't want to purchase the book with the Dust-Jacket if I already own it.

        Jon.

Hi Jon, did you ask the seller what edition the one with the dust jacket is that is for sale? Cheers, Torsten.

The one with Dust-Jacket is 1964 1st Auflage.

I just thought that one of you might already own this book and would know. The one I already own is 1964 but I can't find any edition references within it .
            Jon.

I suspected that, but was not certain. Thanks Torsten.

I did not expect too much from this book, but it is actually quite interesting to read these things again ... lots of memories coming back...

This is actually a West German cold war book from 1985, but it is really well done and researched. It does contain a lot of info on most, if not all of the ships of the Volksmarine with photos of them and technical data and history...really good book. If you want to see more pics of what is inside then let me know and I will post them. Cheers, Torsten.

                          Great Book

I would love to get an early Bekleidungschrift book as shown above. That is really awesome. Mike

I enjoyed this book because it shows alot of "everyday" items.

This book is invaluable to me.

This book, although BRD, tells which Verlags published what kinds of documents. It has a section dealing with the GDR.

there is also a larger format book, called SED = Sozialistisches Einheitsdesign about everyday DDR items...that I had bought about 15 years ago...but it got lost when I moved from Scotland to England and I never seen another since... Cheers, Torsten.
