this is the profile that was my first choice and it is also what I did in the Army...

Uwe - Thanks much. I've not seen much on Admiral Hendrik Born on the internet in either English or German. I am interested on any information on him or his family as my great grandfather Richard Born immigrated America from Pomerania in the 1870s so it is possible we are related. There is a short Wikidedia article on him in German at - http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hendrik_Born which is probably based on this entry in the book.
