Jon - You are correct. I though his youth might hid his appearance. These were the photos from when he was arrested by the Gestapo in 1935. He was tried by the People's Court in 1937 and imprisoned at Brandenburg-G******246;rden prison by the Nazis until he escaped on 6 March 1945 while on work detail at Berlin-Lichtenberg girls prison. Your turn again.

I wonder why he chose to escape after working at the girls prison
I return the right to post a question back to you, since you allowed me to post one a couple of days ago.

Ok here is one that may be a bit harder.

            1) Where was this statue displayed?

            2) What was the subject?

            3) Who was the artist and what's the statues name?

It looks like I made this one a bit too hard. The name is "Befreiung" by J******252;rgen Raue and was located in Berlin. Can anyone tell me where in Berlin?

Getting warmer...It was inside a building in central Berlin which was open to the public. I must have walked by it a half dozen times.

Sorry, no. It was in a very well known building in East Berlin that was open to the public. Kevin
