Well I am always interested to see what exactly is in vests, so taking it apart still was fun
I used to think that the big plates in Modul-5's were ceramic, but feeling the vest at the fair taught me otherwise, but the heavier the ves, the more I like it!
Now I still need to find the right plates for my Reed camo Modul-3, which are actual ceramic plates, I received mine with 2 steel plates in it from a whole different vest.
And here's the black death impression I finished with some things I also bought in Belgium.
It's a MorPeh 1970's impression, and since I only see khaki Saperka and Gasmask pouches instead of black ones in old pictures, I will be content with this, the search for black things that might not even exist is pretty annoying at times :P
Most gear is pretty much the same as Motor Rifles gear, but then black, and the Valenki differ also in that they have rubber anti-slip Galoshkas on the bottom, and they're black, off course
The shovel and pouch are actually early postwar Hungarian, but I do have another Soviet shovel and pouch laying around, but somehow they got lost in a pile of stuff somewhere...
If I ever find a MorPeh repainted helmet with logos on it, and maybe an old helmet net to go with it, I will add those to this too
Cheers,
Michel
