Curious to hear from others with Bundesmarine visors.
Is there anyone with a 1950s/60s schirmmütze that has anything other than a 35mm cap band?
For those with cap bands that are not sewn on, anyone have a hat where the upper/lower channels/ridges holding the cap band in position are substantially larger than 35mm?
I only have 5 Bundesmarine officer caps still in my possession out of 10-12 that I've had over the years. All have 35mm bands -- regardless of whether they were sewn on of loose. Of those that had the channels/ridges to keep the cap bands in place, all were sized to keep the band from moving -- so very close to 35mm.
