The pants and jacket seem cut very large. Possibly to wear over the regular uniform. The pants are hel up by suspenders with two tabs, with buttons, at the back and one tab with a button on each side at the front. The back is higher then the front. Probably to allow for the jacket riding up when the wearer baends over. There are a couple of eyelegs with laces on each side for waist adjustment. There are eyelets and laces on the outside of the botton of each leg to allow them to be tightened around the boots. There would not be room to put the pant legs inside the boots. That would defeat part of the purpose of the pants anyway.

Matthias,
Thanks for the offer to help with marine uniforms. It doesn't seem to be a very popular area to collect so there is limited information available from other BW collectors. Your assistance will be very valuable. Shortly I'll be posting some of my marine items and you will be able to fill in the information that I might not be aware of.
Regards,
Gordon
