Also an early item, an Officers Visor but allready in bluegrey. However it is the same heavy Gabardine (similar to Wehrmacht) as first pattern Mützen. The item is dated 1962:

Same design, but other cloth. No longer the Gabardine-Wehrmacht-Style, but still bluegrey. Later Visors are more a navyblue than a LW Bluegrey. It is dated 1971 and made by Carl Isken:

The pocket hanger and cuff band do not match.

Interesting to see they are wearing the Affenjacke, not the longer 2 pocket jacket officers usually wore. Especially by 1958!

                            Thanks for posting them!

                                Hi Steve,

"Interesting to see they are wearing the Affenjacke, not the longer 2 pocket jacket officers usually wore."

It is absolute normal in that time, to wear in the normal service the service dress (with the Affenjacke).

EM and Uffz/StUffz had two Affenjacken (Dienstbluse, grau).

Higher NCO (Uffz m. P.) and officers had 1 Affenjacke and 1 dress jacket (Ausgehrock).
The first is for the service uniform/dress (Dienstanzug), the second is for the dress uniform (Ausgehanzug).

                                Uwe
