                        Now an other BGS item I have , a 3/4 length overcoat with a hood .
                        It is made of water resistant material and has a heavy interior removable wool , furr-type winter liner .

                                Looks like the combination of the early type cap badge with the eagle on the bottom and the new type cap badge on the top. I doubt that these were ever worn together.
                                As for the D rings on the camo coat, no one seems to know what they were for. Obviously put there as part of the original design but lost in the mists of time. Early Bundeswehr camo coats had D rings on them and no one knows for sure what they were used for either.
