Walter is finally demobilised at Calgary on 15 April 1919 and then makes his way to Toronto where on 30 October 1919 crosses the border at Buffalo, New York and embarks on the SS Columbia to Glasgow arriving in November.

He is obviously in a hurry to return back to England. Why? Stay tuned. More on that later. However attached below are his various discharge papers once he got out of the army in 1919.
