Nice helmet but a bit over the top in my opinion. I'm sure that net is not original to the helmet too.

      What a price

Well that's set a new standard, pleased I bought mine a couple of years ago. I don't think the net is original to the helmet either.

At that price, I'm sure a few more people will be willing to try and sell further examples !
Lets wait and see if the price "sticks" towards this new high price !

If you've got one, I would hang on to it. If you sell it now you may never be able to afford another .

A super rare Brit para helmet for under £3000 possibly the best . And for the same money you could get an entry level common or garden no decal German para helmet of which there are lots . So probably a good deal . Rob

                      Here's 52 pounds waisted.

You'd think an experienced seller would know such stamps are not wartime.

And where does it say 1941, is he blind? And how come he doesn't know these weren't issued in 1941?

                            Luc,

                            You're a provoker, a trouble maker.

Not my eBay account, not my item, nothing to do with me. I didn't even know who was selling it until I clicked the link. Nor was I shown it prior to it going on eBay.

And the seller isn't blind, I can vouch for that.

And it is wasted not waisted. But I'll let you off because English isn't your first language, as much as you wish it was.

                            Jack.

                              Interesting comment Jack!

                              Agressive and pedantic, yet eloquent.

However you carefully choose to avoid the point I was trying to make: it's a dodgy piece.
If you think that I will not mention such items here just because you know the seller you are wrong.

The beret is post war and has dodgy stampings that I will not deny. However, I had nothing to do with this and I believe you raise this beret in this thread to provoke me especially by using the word "experienced seller".

I don't care if anyone mentions any items being sold by anyone I know or even myself. I really don't care what people think about me.

It's unfortunate that people in the same collecting area can't get along. I put this down to a) when people collect the same items (conflict of interest) and b) jealousy.

I rarely will give my opinion on anything anymore. It either causes trouble or argument. People can buy what they want and sell what they want as far as I am concerned. I will still remain true to the point of only selling original wartime items with a money back guarantee but what anyone else wants to do isn't of my concern, buying or selling wise. I'm fed up of trying to right wrongs in the collecting world, most of the time it falls on deaf ears. Life is too short for me to give a s**t!
