Why does he not sell it for what it is? A late 1950's smock. Very sad..

          Cheers, Ade.

              Gary,

Is the "X" not a post war marking? Quite a few of these have popped up on eBay the past few years.

According to Philip (from the Tommy Talk forum) it is indeed a post-war marking for the 10th battalion.

Ok, we've all seen some crap from petehal1, but I think this beats them all! Just look at this description!

WELL I WOULD SAY THIS IS A RARE ONE. I HAVE WORKED ALONGSIDE THE UNIT ,MIXED WITH THEIR PEOPLE AND HAVE A COUPLE OF RETIRED ASOCIATES I TALK TO REGULARLY,NEITHER HAD COME ACROSS THIS ONE, I HAVE COLLECTED ALL MY LIFE AND NEITHER HAD I, THOUGH HAVING SAID THAT THERE IS ONE VERY SIMILAR WITHOUT THE NAME IN PETER TAYLORS BOOK. I CAN ONLY PRESUME IT WAS MADE IN BELGIUM FOR THE UNIT FOR THEIR OWN S.A,S. THOUGH IT MUST HAVE BEEN PARTICULARLY DIFFICUILT AT THAT PERIOD OF TIME. AMAZING INFACT AS I BELIEVE THEY WHERE OCCUPIED AT THAT TIME BY THE GERMANS.A POINT OF INTEREST WITH THIS ONE IS IT WOULD APPEAR TO BE SILVER PLATED ON COPPER,WITH TWO COPPER PINS FOR ATTACHMENT.

So who thinks he's ex-Special Forces?

perhaps Des could offer some light on this situation?
